QUT Gardens Point Campus – B Block – The Foundry

Continuing PODCON’s relationship as part of the Queensland University of Technology select panel, PODCON were engaged under a fixed lump sum agreement for the complete cold shell demolition and subsequent fit out of the new Foundry workspace. The QUT foundry sought an exciting new workplace to align with the progressive use of the space as a start-up incubator and coworking environment.

Undertaking a complete strip out and fit out of this scope, in a building operating both teaching spaces and working offices, required a unique level of coordination and collaboration with the client beyond a traditional construction approach. Assisting with numerous design changes throughout the build made an electrifying project to be a part of.

A condensed programme along with complete new feature mechanical and electrical installations enabled PODCON to demonstrate not only a continued commitment to delivering projects ahead of time but an uncompromising exceptionally high-quality product.
